Taiwan Textile Research Institute (TTRI) and Taiwan Textile Federation co-founded Taiwan Circular Textile Initiative (TCTI). It is expected to share the concept, experiences, and technology of the green cycle in the textile industry by experience exchanging, information sharing, and empathic learning. As the circular economy is based on a design concept of cradle to cradle, the initiative invited Prof. Dr. Michael Braungart for a keynote speech-“The Design and Manufacture of Product Recycling from Cradle to Cradle”. Moreover, Shih Yen-Hsiang, the convener of TCTI shared the current status quo of promoting the circular economy by the Taiwan industry. Hope a new spark and thought could be brought in.
